Rasuwa, Aug 29: Four days after the catastrophic flash flood that ravaged the Bhotekoshi and Trishulli River corridors, a girl child was rescued alive on Saturday afternoon. 

The 7-year-old girl was found buried at Timure of Gosaikunda Rural Municipality-2, Rasuwa.

A team mobilized from the Armed Police Force's Company No 20 (Dhunche) rescued the child named Shirganga Ichaimagar. She was found covered with mud and injured. 

The police persons involved in the rescue informed that the child was airlifted to the District Hospital, Dhunche for treatment. 

Similarly, senior surgeon at Dhunche Hospital, Sunil Kumar Das, said the rescued child was in a critical condition, so referred to the TU Teaching Hospital, Kathmandu for further treatment.

Earlier, the child's parents- Gita Ichaimagar and father Lok Bahadur Ichaimagar- working at Global IME Bank Timure Branch were rescued and airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment. They are originally from Arghakhanchi district, according to an Inspector of the Armed Police Force, Som Gurung.
