Narayangadh (Chitwan), Aug 29: The premises of the Chitwan Industry Association in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-10 has now become a location for grieving families a last resort to known about the fate of their loved ones caught in the August 26 Bhotekoshi flash floods. 
The old building of the Industrial Business Development Institute, located near the Chitwan Industry Association next to Bharatpur Hospital, is now being used as a morgue. Relatives are arriving here from far and near to search for their loved ones who have been out of contract since in devastating floods that took place in Rasuwa.
Many bodies of people caught in the flash flood were swept away to rivers downstream including the Trishuli and Narayan rivers. Out of the 233 bodies collected from the banks of the Narayani and Trishuli rivers, only four have been identified so far. The remaining 229 bodies have been kept in holding centers and various health institutions, shared Chitwan Chief District Officer Ganesh Aryal. 
Ali Mohammad Miya of Birgunj Metropolitan City-22 is roaming around the doors of the hospital and morgue in Bharatpur with a photo of his 22-year-old son Sabuddin Mansuri.  Sabuddin, who had gone to work as a mechanic at a motor garage in Rasuwa, remains out of contact since Wednesday.
 “There is no trace of my son,” he said after checking for him and his mortal remains, if any, in the morgue and holding center.
Likewise, Balkrishna Acharya, the Mayor of Dhunibesi Municipality in Dhading, has come here to search for his missing fellow municipal residents. According to him, 11 transport truck drivers and labourers from Dhunibesi have gone missing from Rasuwa.
Similarly, Bhola Paswan of Khadak Municipality and Akshakumar Paswan of Dakneshwari Municipality in Saptari are currently wandering in Bharatpur in search of their sons, Akhilesh and Nisit, respectively.
There is no news of their sons, who had reached Rasuwa to work. The two grieving fathers have a faint hope that their sons will be found alive, but they have come here to see if they are here. Bhola expressed his pain, saying, “I reached Chitwan from Saptari, but there is no trace of my son. Where should I go, what should I do? 
Similarly, Ganesh Prasad Baral, uncle of 31-year-old civil engineer Abhishek Acharya, working at the Langtang river Hydropower Project, suspected that workers might be trapped inside the tunnel. Baral, who came here from Pokhara, demanded that the rescue operation be expedited. 
Not only Nepali citizens, but also Indian citizens Rubika David and Prerana Kale, who had reached Timure for the Mansarovar Yatra towards China, remain missing since the morning of August 26, said their Nepali friend Prabhat Dhungana. They had come from Mumbai for the Mansarovar Yatra via Nepal
Although the number of bodies found on the riverbank continues to rise, the facial and physical appearance of most of the bodies has deteriorated, adding to the serious problem of identification.
