NT restores mobile BTS in flood-hit areas

Kathmandu, Aug 30: The Nepal Telecom has restored mobile connectivity at seven additional places affected by Bhotekoshi floods from Sunday.
With this, most of mobile Base Transceiver Sites (BTS) in flood-hit areas have resumed regular operation. 

The sites coming into operation are Rasuwa border site, Upper Sanjen, Chhapthoke, Jipjipe and Gatlang in Rasuwa district, according to the NT. Similarly, Charghare and Charghare Mulabari BTS sites in Nuwakot district have also been restored as well as BTS service have been resumed at Nepal-China border, Timure, Rasuwa border corridor and Syafrubesi to Bhotekoshi corridor through Rasuwa Border BTS site, shared NT Spokesperson Dr Kamal Lamichhane. 

Likewise, mobile service is available at Chilime, Lamagaun and Amachhondimo-5 and other places through Upper Sanjen site. Betrabati, Kauli, Trishuli 3B, Uttargaya rural municipality and Kispang areas through Chhapthoke, he added.

Similarly, Kalika rural municipality-2 and 5, Dharapani and Deuralidanda are receiving mobile service through Jiphipe BTS site as well as Gatlang, Goljung, Chilime, Thulo Bharkhu, Sherpa Gaun, Thulo Syarphu, Syarphybesi, Khangjum and Barim through Gatlang BTS service. 

The mobile service has been restored at Bidur municipality-12 and 13 through Charghar and Charghare Mulabari BTS site.
